Had an absolutely fantastic lunch here, with a prawn and lemon mayo doorstop of a sandwich, and a scone with jam and cream to follow. Loved that the cups of tea came in an amazing vintage teapot with a proper China cup and saucer and the brews tasted great. The staff were brilliant, and the spot was totally unique, sitting outside to watch people come up or down the iconic 199 steps. Overall, we had a lovely visit. Highly recommended!

Fabulous, large, warm, homemade scone with butter, cream & jam. Lovely staff and great location at the bottom of the Abbey Steps. Good music, played on vinyl LPs. What more could you want?

Really loved this place. Went with a party of 11 and they fit us all in. Asked for gluten free options for myself and they didn't have anything due to just opening, so I had a dark hot chocolate instead to fill me up. It was delicious but it only comes in a small cup so ordered another. (On my second visit they provided it in a latte cup and it felt a lot more substantial. I loved the finish on it) My family had mostly breakfast sandwiches like sausage and bacon and black pudding but they looked great and they really didn't take long. The staff were so lovely. So down to earth. And they came to me after the second hot chocolate and said they'd just bought some gluten free bread if I wanted a sandwich, which was so considerate of them. But I was full from my two hot chocolates but I had some toast and it was very good gf bread. The lattes were absolutely delicious. We came back for seconds after climbing the steps and I can't describe the flavour too well, but it was like espresso and liquorice, but not overpowering. They said it was their own special blend. It was well worth it. They also had some outside seating which was cramped but delightful. I hope to go back soon and see if any more gf options. Edit: went back a few months later for the same dark hot chocolate and it was even better. Love this!!

Had a lovely afternoon tea for 2. Fresh sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, some amazing cakes to choose from all served with a selection of teas. Definitely recommend it.

Popped in for some light refreshments, the hot chocolate was divine. My partner had tea, and I love the little guitar shaped spoons and lovely mugs, the smallest touches make a big difference. The staff and atmosphere are lovely. Thank you for great service.
